Prime Minister of Uganda Attended the Foundation Ceremony for China-Aided Industrial Skills Training and Production Center Project in Uganda

On January 25th, 2018, China-Aided Industrial Skills Training and Production Center Project in Uganda was formally held in Namanwi Industrial Park, Kampala, attended by China Ambassador Zheng Zhuqiang, Prime Minister of Uganda Ruhakana Rugunda, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, State Minister for Investment and Privatization, Director of Industrial Research Institute and other Uganda officials, representatives of Chinese enterprises, as well as mainstream media in Uganda, over 300 in total. Rugunda read the congratulations speech by President Museveni that both countries are focusing on improving Uganda youth’s industrial skill training and cultivation. Ambassador Zheng noted that it is an important achievement made under the Ten Cooperation Plans announced at the Johannesburg Summit, and China will continue to leverage support to Uganda. Covering a floor area of 59,442 sq. M and a building area of 16,500 sq. M, it is the largest China-aided housing project in Uganda that offers training for 1,500 students upon completion.
