Groundbreaking Ceremony for China Aid Philippines Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Held

On January 12th, 2018, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for China Aid Philippines Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center was held in Arabel, the Philippines, attended by Health Minister Francisco Duque, Vice Health Minister Roger Tong-An, Governor of Sarangani Steve Chiongbian Solon, Chinese Economic Counsellor Jin Yuan, etc. Roger Tong-An extended gratitude to the Chinese Government for generous support given to the social and economic development of Philippines, especially in fighting drug crimes. Counsellor Jin noted that China and Philippines have discussed many projects since President Duterte’s visit to China. The Project is the first construction project launched, involving one 150-bed drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation center in Sarangani Province and Agusan del Sur Province in Mindanao, Philippines respectively. Built by Philippines itself, the professional Centers will be equipped with advanced equipment and humanistic care upon completion.
